Well, the heat has arrived again. Yesterday, I got into my car to head out for some errands and the temp read 51C (I'll leave that for you to figure out). Actually, it was probably more like 45 or 46 - but the car had been sitting in the sun heating up.
The pool in the back is nice and comfortable right now. We've had lots of dust for the past 2 weeks. The whole sky has been a nice beige color (no sign of blue) and the sun barely shines through the haze. It has meant some nicer temps and a cooling of the pool. But now that's over - back to sunny and blazing. Saw a hint of blue sky today - if I looked straight up. Still beige and hazy if you look out onto the horizon.
We're getting ready to head back home for a few weeks. I'll be home for 3 weeks and Russell and Lyra will be staying for an additional 3 or 4 weeks. I've been telling Russell that I think we'll be cold when we're home. We've acclimated here to the point that a 90F day is comfortable. So, if temps are in the 80's, we may find that cool. And if nighttime temps are down into the 60s or 70s, that will be downright chilly. I don't think Russell's convinced. But I'm packing some long sleeves and sweaters (in addition to some shorts and short sleeves).
What do you think? Will we be cold?

Yes! Cooler near the lake ... and we have not had a lot of heat. Actually, this week has been the nicest, summery, nice evening sleeping weather.
