Travel to Saudi

For months I've been trying to arrange a travel visa for me to visit our facilities in Saudi. My application was rejected 3 times before I was successful. The first time it was Ramadan, the second it was the Hajj, the third time we had the wrong paperwork submitted, and now finally I have the visa. I'm going to travel next week.

Yes, I have to wear a black abaya and head cover. Yes, I will post pictures. Saudi is the only country that requires all women (even non-muslims) to be covered. Even in this part of the world Saudi Arabia is an oddity.

My office in Jeddah has arrange VIP greeting service for me. When I get off the plane, there will be a limosine waiting on the tarmac for me. Evidently he drives me from the tarmac directly to the hotel - how cool is that? I've been instructed to tell the driver I'm the guest of Sheikh Saleh Binladen. Yes, you read that right, Bin. Laden.

Our sponsor in Saudi is brother of the infamous Osama. He says, "Every family has their black sheep." Um, yeah . . . right.
