Lyra told me today, "I told Hazar I'm in Puppy Love. She said, 'I'll turn you into a puppy.' But I told her 'NO, I'm IN Puppy Love.'"
"What's Puppy Love," I asked her wondering where does she get these things.
"It's when you fancy someone," she said. "I fancy Ahmed and Sultan."
"Who told you it's Puppy Love," I asked.
"Baba" - Yes, of course.
"Ahmed tries to get my attention at school. He says 'hey' and then winks at me. Today I tried to put the glue stick in Sultan's face. He went like this (making a strange face) and then ran away."
Ahhh (sigh), young love.

From the outside looking in, I like the winky-winky better. But at this age the glue-stick-in-the-face method is probably quite effective and fairly typical.
