How long was your flight from Dubai to Istanbul? Trying to get a grasp on how small/large this world really is.
While there did you read or hear anything about Turkey and the border disputes. There was an article in MJS on Sunday saying 1000s of people took to several Turkish cities condeming the Kurdish party and the USA. The Prime Minister of Turkey is coming to the US on Nov. 5 .. he then is to decide about any cross border offensive. The Bush admin. is down playing the border disuputes .. or at least not saying much. (I watch alot of CNN!)
Also, what is said or read in Dubai about the war?
So I have been wondering about everyday mundane things. Are there multi-purpose stores like Target? You mentioned $2 shoes for Lyra which sounds pretty cheap. How do you find prices of different things? What do you do in the evenings and on weekends? It will be nice to host a Halloween party to meet new people. What do people know of Halloween? And, btw, does Lyra like to play dress up? There are a lot of Halloween costumes for sale right now.
